For enthusiasts of both football and LEGO, there's a unique way to combine a passion for the sport with the joy of building. The LEGO Editions collection pays tribute to some of the greatest football icons with detailed building sets. Whether you're an avid collector, a parent looking for the perfect football gift, or simply want to decorate your desk with football merchandise, the choice can be overwhelming.
This guide is designed to help. We're highlighting the most popular LEGO football sets currently available, so you can find a model that matches your favourite player or club loyalty.
Before you make a choice, there are a few practical points to consider. This will ensure the set meets your expectations.
The sets highlighted here have a recommended age of 10 and up. They are complex enough to offer a fun challenge for teenagers and adults (AFOLs), but also achievable for younger builders with some experience. Consider whether the set is a gift for a child who wants to build with it, or for an adult fan who will display it as a collector's item.
The "Soccer Highlights" series is designed for display. These are not stadiums where you can re-enact a match, but tributes to specific LEGO football players. They are perfect for showcasing on a shelf, in a display case, or on your desk. The focus is on the details and the recognisability of the player.
What makes these sets special are the authentic details. Pay attention to the national team colours, the jersey number, and the included collector's plaque with a signature and statistics. These elements transform a simple LEGO football building set into a true collector's item for the dedicated supporter.
